Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

I loved the first two Star Wars movies, the original "Star Wars" (A new hope) and "The Empire Strikes Back". They lost me at "Return of the Jedi" which was a cluster fudge (in my humble opinion). Oh I enjoyed Return of the Jedi immensely. But that's just me being a space battle nerd, and I really l...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

Boy am I "excited" about the new Star Wars trailer. Looks like Disney it trying hard to backpedal on the mess they made with The Last Jedi.

District 9, now that it finally came to our Netflix library. I love that film. Too bad it got award snubbed.

Re: Star Trek in general now...

You seem to labour under the delusion that the quality of the characters actually changes the fact that TNG told better stories than VOY. It's funny how you recognize that characterization and writing in Voyager was terrible and give it a pass summing it up with "Well it was B&B, duh!" as if that he...

More like religious schizms, but yeah, those can easily lead to wars too.

Re: ENTERPRISE - and Star Trek in general now...

You can safely skip TNG. It's crap. It's actually aged very poorly, worse than TOS. TOS has redeeming factors and charm. TNG... not so much. And TNG has the weakest actors when you move beyond Patrick Stewart. *grabs popcorn and waits for majestic to arrive* :haha: Seriously man, talk to your 16-ye...

I expected you to fire one back considering I rated TNG equal to VOY all that time ago. =)

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

I really need to buy Games of Thrones some day. Heard a lot about it, but never seen it. As for latest "movies".... well, a Taiwanese friend of mine convinced me to join him for a couple of movies here in Melbourne and he's a Marvel/DC fan, so besides learning a lot about things that were completel...

Re: Random events of the day

Say hello to Sandi from me and thank her again for the free game she scored us back when we were moderating the Interplay forums. Even if it ended up being Lionheart. :) And yeah, I still have that Nazi avatar on my external backup disk (it was Göring). Imagine us doing something similar these days....

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

I just can't get into his work. The only thing I liked him in was Extras, which I thought was brilliant. Don't know why but I'm just not a fan of his work. I may check it out though. My wife wants to. After Life is the only TV show thing that I've seen with Ricky Gervais. I've checked out some of h...

Re: Random events of the day

I do see Majestic lurking on the Obsidian forums once in a blue moon, but no, he didn't tell me to move my lazy butt over here and say hello :) Lurking? Granted compared to my activity level on Interplay I am "lurking" but that was something... else. We did have an Interplay nostalgia bout in WOT a...

Mostly a sham, but it could work if your troubles are psychosomatic, i.e. you're a real nutjob. :p

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

I watched After Life on Netflix by the way. It's hilarious, but not in a laughing out loud way.

Loved the part where Ricky was at a comedy club.
