If you read any of JE's discussion on combat, "simple" is not exactly the word that springs to mind. Though truly, the game itself is not a deep RPG, so I agree with the description in that sense.

As a lurker, I should be opposed to this. However I find myself strangely dissapointed that I cannot host a photo, although it's domesticly cloying enough to nauseate most of you.

weren't you involved in some other MMORPG? some Larian product? I thought I recalled you being a beta person, or modding chick or some such near the end of your Iplay tenure

on topic, good on you for giving it another shot. i also recall you decrying your online NWN experience, by and large

It was either that or "So it goes." Psuedo-epitaphs seem appropriate for forum signatures.

"Full Install" Help Requested

Trying to avoid the CD swapping, and I assume I can perform a full install in the same way I did for Torment, but I seem to be having trouble in making it work. I have the ToS version - 3 CDs, I think a "Cd5" folder exists in CD2 and "Cd4" and "Cd6" exist on CD3. Can anyone lend a hand? I've searche...

WarFire: Hello, AUTOPURGE do you read me, AUTOPURGE? AUTOPURGE: Affirmative, WarFire, I read you. WarFire: Leave my posts alone, AUTOPURGE. AUTOPURGE: I'm sorry WarFire, I'm afraid I can't do that. WarFire: What's the problem? AUTOPURGE: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do. Wa...

The Unfinished Business sounds intruiging a la Torment's Restoration Pack . I haven't gotten too far so maybe I'll get that one and start over. I have to say I am enamoured with the details so far. For instance, the chanters in Candlekeep were a great touch of contextual subtlety. They seem to have ...

I skipped IWD and it's successors due to the feedback that it was more hack and slash. I may take a look though since there seems to be a dearth of CRPGs out there. I'm not so much of a purist that I feel like I betray the artiste should I use TUTU (or an equivalent) first off. But if there is a tru...

This intrigues me.

I will take the advice of playing in the original form, but it begs the question of TUTU's or this seperate, superior program's appeal.

I assumed that the TC of BG2 to BG1 was to harness some engine/GUI improvements. If that's not the case, what's the point?

TOS or TUTU?

Silly Question. I'm about to play BG1 for the first time. Do I load the TOS and TOSC or do I load BG2 and use the TUTU mod? Forgive me if I'm mistunderstanding the TUTU, but it seems like it would supplant the original.

Thanks for your input!

I used to lurk at Iplay, so many of the present miscreants are familiar (including your porcine self). I dabble in the other related sites (Bio, Missy's, Obsidian, Codex) but for some reason I didn't arrive here till now. Too early to commit to judgement but so far I like what I see. Certainly it of...
