Re: Random events of the day

Was she by any chance Albanian? Josan with heart-ache, job trouble and trying to keep ww alive... remind, what year is it again? :look: Sorry mate, it sucks. It's just that it sounds so familiar and similar to the world situation from before i went on a long forum hiatus. It's a bit like that old jo...

Re: Random events of the day

Trump is just dying (unfortunately not literally) to start a war with Iran. His latest trick, ordering the UK to seize Iranian oil tankers when they get close to Gibraltar. You can almost see him twiddling his thumbs, waiting for Iran to seize a British oil tanker around Hormuz in retaliation. He'll...

Re: Random events of the day

I think Kim is missing a golden opportunity here... he had Trump within range of his artillery and the creep (Trump) is still breathing. Major disappointment :look:

Re: Random rant of the day

Going to a job interview on Monday... a bit of an odd situation. Bit of background, I know this woman, Nikki, from Brisbane. Late 50's early 60's, thereabouts. She used to manage billion dollar projects, like the big tunnel projects in Queensland etc. and is used to boss CEO's and managers around. I...

Re: Random events of the day

This is so sad, funny, hilarious and outrageous at the same time, it could have been a Peter Sellers/Pink Panther movie: Guy with a silicone mask in a fake office, pretending to be a french minister, scamming wealthy people out of millions of dollars  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-4...

Re: Random rant of the day

I'm surprised you were allowed to go anywhere even near asbestos and not required to alert local authorities that there is asbestos on the premises. Australian rules (Canadian rules are probably different and no idea if 6'x6' is 10 square metres or not): Removing asbestos Unless you’re removing less...

Re: Random events of the day

You probably have to be a musician to truly appreciate it I've been following the developments in Hong Kong for a few weeks now... Looks like things are going to go from bad to worse soon as neither side seems inclined to back down. The news media corporations love it. Civil war brewing and no weste...

Re: Random rant of the day

Sounds like it's more of a lack of understanding, than malicious intent. It still sucks though. I hope you survive the summer up there and maybe look for alternatives when winter is coming again?

Re: Random rant of the day

Good Danish food... (no Schnaps though, which should be served in shot glasses and at a temperature below -5, i.e. from the freezer). The yellow stuff on top of the pickled herrings is what is locally called "curry salad", although it is more of a relish with curry flavour. https://i.imgur.com/OpiOO...

Re: Random rant of the day

Honestly? Never tried it! Not very traditional to my region, the Scanian. But, its basically fermented Fish. It smells horrible but with some ryebread (knäckebröd) and I think sourer cream its supposed to be really damn delicious. And you're supposed to open it under water, Amerikaner! Hah! I...

Re: Random rant of the day

Not sure when I last saw a Disney movie either. I saw Aladdin the Broadway musical, but that was slightly different (watching it live)

Last cartoons I saw was Finding Nemo and The Incredibles (and I loved both!). I think that was before Pixar got bought out.

Re: Random rant of the day

I wonder if they are going to keep their brands strictly separated or plan on doing "crossovers" in the future. I can just see Mickey Mouse in Darth Vader gear, flying a black Tie-Fighter against a raging Donald Duck in an X-Wing

Re: Random rant of the day

The packaging may be new, but it's still the same old classic. Agreed though, rebranding feels odd sometimes.
