Re: Haven't really got much to say...

Joseph, was the dismissive tone really necessary? Michael's obviously under stress and the wording of your post doesn't help - you basically told him his opinion is unimportant before dolling out yours.

I'll take your opinion of feminists under advisement and basically never darken your doors again, then. :P

Marcus... "Orient" is another one of those words we don't use any more. Or shouldn't, anyway.

Re: Random rant of the day

To be honest, the main thing that stops me as a woman is that I work in places that aren't exacty convenient for squatting. The landscaping isn't such that there's anywhere discreet. I would basically have to drop me kecks on the top of a windswept hill with full panaromic views of the South Yorkshi...

Re: Random rant of the day

Short short version: I work on remote sites with no facilities. The majority of my colleagues are men. When I complain about lack of facilities and how holding it in is bad for the health, they look at me blankly because they can toilet - or at least piss - almost anywhere. Except when I happen to w...

Re: Random rant of the day

Actually, I think it's more like pissing in public. If you wouldn't do it in front of a woman (or ask a woman), why the hell would you do it in front of another man (or ask him)?

And, yes, that does relate to a rant that I'm saving up for another day :)

Re: Is this a relationship?

Considering that most of the single parents I know wouldn't let a fuck-buddy / friend with benefits / whatever near their children by choice, I'd say it's a relationship - or she wants it to be. Grats.

Re: The Origins of Halloween by Amy Van De Casteele

In my limited, immigrant, agnostic experience, it's not religious "immigrants" (by which I assume you mean non-Christians) complaining about these things. It's either athiests and /or firm seculraists complaining about unnecessary religious festivals, or it's Christians complaining about the commerc...

Re: Blurred Lines of Feminism by Emily Thorburn

That's not an issue with feminism, that's just further proof that the current social set-up doesn't work.
