Re: Random events of the day

Wait, what? Microsoft owns Obsidian?

Damn, dude. Obsidian was Black Isle MKII to me even though I stopped gaming. That makes me sad.

Re: Random events of the day

Yeah, I'd heard that. And it's quite impressive. Just sadly, the only Obsidian game I liked was New Vegas and then I was largely out of gaming shortly after. Played the hell out of it on both my old PS3 and on Steam. I think JE and I are still friends on Facebook but we haven't interacted for years.

Re: Random events of the day

So, Gorth being back, majestic and I reminiscing about the old days... I got all nostalgic, messaged Choyrt on Facebook mentioning the direction I want to take the site and would he be interested in contributing again and his response was "shit yeah" which... I think is a yes. *Joseph does a little ...

Re: Random events of the day

I never even finished Lionheart. But when they were closing shop she also sent me two unopened copies of Torment, a Planescape mousepad and a copy of the Torment novel... which was written before the game was released and bore little resemblance to the game's story. They're still in a box in the clo...

The Future of Winterwind Part XXIV

Winterwind has been here for just over 15 years as of this posting. It's had some highs and lows and a five year hiatus, and about six or seven different looks and layouts for the website. But now I intend to get it to where I'd always wanted it to be by doing a variety of music, writing and video w...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

I just can't get into his work. The only thing I liked him in was Extras, which I thought was brilliant. Don't know why but I'm just not a fan of his work. I may check it out though. My wife wants to. After Life is the only TV show thing that I've seen with Ricky Gervais. I've checked out some of h...

Re: Random events of the day

I do see Majestic lurking on the Obsidian forums once in a blue moon, but no, he didn't tell me to move my lazy butt over here and say hello :) Lurking? Granted compared to my activity level on Interplay I am "lurking" but that was something... else. We did have an Interplay nostalgia bout in WOT a...

Re: Random events of the day

PS: My favourite Zombie Shooter is a co-op game called "Killing Floor 2". I've put an embarrassing number of hours into that game. It's easy to learn and particularly fun if you have a few online friends to team up with (instead of groups of random internet strangers). Edit: When we play games toge...

Re: Random events of the day

Well... you're not supposed to know when it's a placebo. It's a sugar pill but the quack... er... doctor tells you it's whatever and your mind does the rest.

At least that's the way it worked in that M*A*S*H episode. ;)

Re: Random events of the day

Whats holistic medicine? Mostly a sham, but it could work if your troubles are psychosomatic, i.e. you're a real nutjob. :p We are talking about Marcus... ;) Seriously though, Marcus, at this stage, I'm sure you'd try anything. Medical science is good for some things, placebos and the power of the ...

Re: Random events of the day

Ah, you've been busy. Fantastic hearing from you. And to think I was going to toss the forums when I decided to relaunch WW. Glad I didn't else I wouldn't have heard from you.

So... tell us about the girl. ;)

Really sorry to hear your health is still bothering you. Maybe it's time to try holistic medicine? Doctors haven't helped much since I've known you. :(

Re: Random rant of the day

Well, so much for getting a drone for video work for the upcoming YouTube channel.. This summer Canada is about to enact the most draconian drone laws in the world. Believe me, I get safety. The idiots buzzing airports... Well, I can think of a few creative punishments but the laws Canada is about t...

Re: Random rant of the day

Considering most people don't even know the term "straight man" I don't believe you.

And my sympathies. You Swedes worship IKEA. I don't know anything about your monarchy but all monarchies are bad. Just look at England. Or... ewww... the Habsburg dynasty. ;)

Re: Random rant of the day

Yep. you'd be the perfect straight man. ;)

A straight man in comedy is basically the person that doesn't get, or isn't even aware of, the joke or humour of the situation they're in.

And monarchies are the biggest scam going.
