Well, Interplay doesn't look like it's going to be in business much longer, so your wish is coming true. It's a shame to see a once great gaming company being systematically ruined by mismanagement. I was an Interplay fan since day one, but that was a completely different company back then. All tha...

what irritated em in the combat was the somewhat lower resolution of PT compared to BG1, the characters and spell effects are so big that they often occur off-screen, where also pretty often still enemies wander around. dunno if it's resolution btw, i think the models are just larger or something. ...

That's definitely a hard decision, but I'd have to say Icewind Dale 1. If you take the IWD+HOW+TOLM package I think it is superior to IWD2, despite IWD2's 3rd edition rules, simply because of the strong atmosphere and the stronger storyline.

Best example: Kresselack's Tomb. It just goes on and on and on and on and when you *finally* think you've done it there's yet ANOTHER DAMNED undead infested level before you finally find a stupid undead that you don't need anyway (and no, Mitch Pileggi (sp?) doesn't save it, despite his good voice ...

I guess that's what happens when you change producers... Or maybe it was done before that. I don't remember anything about it though. I just recall McComb talking about the Williams tracks (I think he posted the samples as well) and being happy that people liked them since he was the one who introd...

Yeah, those samples that were leaked were truly great. Do you remember why they changed? Guido Henkel, the producer of PS:T right until a couple of months before its release, was very fond of Brian Williams' work and contracted him for the soundtrack. A couple of people from the team weren't really...

Yes, the music was very good and Mark Morgan did a good job, but I must say that I enjoyed the "original" soundtrack for the game by Brian Williams much more. The "Planescape: Torment" main theme by Brian you can hear in the trailer for "Torment".

Dunno if I'll give it a go. I'll have to check the game out first, but it has two major points against it (for me, that is): a) I was never too fond of the Vampire setting. About the rules I cannot say too much, because I haven't played any White Wolf P&P game yet. The first time I got in touch with...

Sorry to hear that :(

In my case my timing seems to be a bit better. Might delay my going back to work for a few more days. Then again a cold is never pleasant, so I probably wouldn't appreciate the extra days off anyway.

Well, well. If it isn't good old Puuk! I am delighted to see that you have found the path that takes you to the Winterwind forum. Welcome! As for holidays - mine were great! Had my first public appearance as a singer in years (and didn't scare anyone away with my performance) and met a really nice g...

Currently I am replaying Baldur's Gate 1/Tales of the Sword Coast. I have to replay all the BIS games on a more or less regular basis.

Apart from that I'm playing through a remake of the 8-Bit classic "Head over Heels". Like the original, great stuff. Quite hard.

Personally I like first-person RPG's - the classics. Back when I was a young, innocent gamer I thoroughly enjoyed games like Bard's Tale, Dungeon Master, Might & Magic et al. Although I did enjoy the Ultima or Phantasie games as well, I always prefered the first-person-perspective games more. Nowada...
