In effect, all sentient beings, magical energies yet uncast or not reached their target, are compeltely paralysed, and everything else goes on. It's not really a "time stop", since time progresses.

I don't think PST's question meant the physical nature. It meant the nature, as in what kind of being you are - your mind, not your body. Thus if death is to change the nature of the man it could possibly be true by wiping the memory.

Well, yes, dousi. That is why I said I never wanted some slim young elminster. I appreciate TNO; and I appreciate he might have a belly, he might stand with his back leant back, grey skin, etc. But I simply wanted some clothes for him... plain clothes and armour, not some outlandish or magnificent s...

Annah has 2 sets of armour. FFG also has 2. dousi, you miss the point; im talking about clothing/armour. apparently he's too big and disfigured to fit most things, but he surely didnt spend all his lives without clothing or armour, not even his recent ones? it wouldn't bea ny stretch or compromise t...

yet does the man in the abyss, or any part of D&D afterlife, remain the same man as he was? if so, he does not change with death. his surroundings do.

Well, I believe I stated my appraisal of the Torment style before. Perhaps I didn't, in which case, you know now. I love Torment, but I simply see room for improvement. Fiend's Teeth were never implemented, right? So there are only two (of which one I seem to have missed). Can you enlighten me to wh...

*sigh* I do hope that you would get my point and not dismiss the argument as "I WANT IWD!". I definitely love the Torment style, and I do see that it would be ridiculous to have Dak'kon wield some hammer or Morte with a sword btween his teeth - i do realise this! I have already commented on the matt...

Yes. However, you can only do this with TNO as Nordom is always stuck with crossbows, Dakkon always stuck with Karach blades, Morte always stuck with teeth, Annah always stuck with the i-forget-name, FFG stuck with fists, Ignus stuck with fireball.... can Vhailor wield different types of weapons?

Dak'kon, I confused with Nordom; TNO, I already said the dustman part, but it's just a disguise. Not even available outside mortuary.

Aye, that's another thing too. My last run through was with a mage that had 21 INT and 21 CHA. Why does he *still* look like a caveman, hell, a fat caveman who wears nothing but shamanistic decor to hide his manhood? So TNO shouldn't look like some archmage out of BG2, i'm fine with TNO having scars...

Well... Morte's a skull. A floating, quick-witted smart-ass, and possibly the Head of Vecna, but still just a skull. You want to talk boring? Spend a few aeons on one of Lothar's shelves. I say Morte's got it made. He's got the Litany of Curses (highly effective when he learns all his taunts), he's...

The issue with PS:T's combat was that it became much more tedious than BG/IWD combat because of the limitation of options; this is one of the greatest flaws of PS:T, IMO, because while I love Torment and am not a combat freak, I want to develop my character in more than story. Let me prove this: -Mo...

Oh, Im not implying FO3 had amnesia, you said quite clearly it didnt. Im saying even the plot-king Torment's opening has clichés, such as amnesia.

The PC *has* to be a hero or a villain in a pure RPG. What the hell are you going to do otherwise? Go morrowind and spend fifty years as a merchant? Do you want to see eveyrthing from the sidelines? Do you want to play a merchant who's having his shop bombed instead of a general in a war, a freedom ...
