Re: Guild Wars 2 (Warning: Image heavy)

Just showing off my little engineer guy and the legendary shield that he is currently working on (it's what looks like an aquarium slung across his back)

Re: Guild Wars 2 (Warning: Image heavy)

The Desert kingdom of Elonia was once ruled by the primordial kings, dynasty after dynasty until a man, turned powerful Lich, release a devastating plague (the Scarab Plague) on the land and decimated the population. His "Awakened" minions now control the provinces that was once Elonia. Still a land...

Re: Guild Wars 2 (Warning: Image heavy)

A few images of Orr... when the Vizier unleashed the magic of the forbidden scrolls (assumed to be something the human gods left behind, never intended to be used by humans themselves) and sank and drowned the entire population. A century later, Zhaitan, the Elder Dragon of shadow and death used it'...

Re: Guild Wars 2 (Warning: Image heavy)

I play a lot of alts. Did so in Swotor, doing so in GW2. These are not all, just a handful which I've reduced quite a but in size and photoshopped together Humans sort of look like themselves, the giant cat is a Charr, the bluish/green girl is a Sylvari, the oversized humans are Norn's and the littl...

Guild Wars 2 (Warning: Image heavy)

Since I play the game a lot and sometimes take in-game screenshots, I figured I might as well create a thread to share a few pictures and the accompanying descriptions.

I wouldn't say they're still into them since the show ended almost 20 years ago. ;)
Ehh, oops

One these days, I think I'll have to look to places like Amazon for the complete series of OS and TNG (besides a lot of other older TV series)

Re: ENTERPRISE - and Star Trek in general now...

Are they still into this whole Prophet thing?

Yeah, shows how much I know. DS9 wasn't really bad as far as I remember, but TOS and TNG are really the only two series I've watched most episodes of.

Re: What are you playing right now?

After 6 years playing mostly Star Wars: The Old Republic (a MMO), the last year, I've mostly been playing Guild Wars 2 (another MMO) in my spare time In between, some coop games with two friends, mostly Borderlands 2, Age of Empires 2 and currently Borderlands 2: The Pre-Sequel. Coop games when only...

Re: Random events of the day

You can thank the peace treaty of Westphalen in 1648 for the invention of nation states. That's how young the concept really is. You might as well fight a genocidal war over who has the better table manners. It's completely man made, completely irrational and completely obsolete. Feudalism was inven...

Re: Random events of the day

I believe (pun unintended) that it's part of human nature, this need to identify yourself as part of something. Whether it's being nation states, religion, philosophy (political or otherwise), we just seem to have this need to identify us as something. Social Darwinism in action?

Re: Random events of the day

Hey you been posting some in the last 5 years. I didn't say I wasn't here. I said I was barely here. Take 2018 for example. Before I decided, just after Christmas, not to close the forums, I posted in January 2018 then not again until August, then not again until late December. I'd say that constit...

Re: Random rant of the day

Germans used to refer to West Germany as BRD (Bundesrepublik Deutschland or just Die Bundesrepublik - Federation of German states) and East Germany as DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik - The Democratic Republic of Germany), many European countries, including Denmark used the latter acronym (/hist...

Re: Random events of the day

The obvious thing would be to tell the Spanish king that they've had second thoughts about this whole independence thing, but Spain can't even keep it's own Iberian provinces together these days. I wonder if it's time to place bets... which country falls apart first? 1) Belgium 2) Spain 3) The UK :m...
