Re: Random events of the day

I see little value in anything with religious connotations. It speaks to nothing more than ignorance and intellectual deficiencies in my view. Are we overpopulated and taxing the planet's resources? Hell, yes, we are. And part of the problem is religion and what you call culture. Overpopulation is n...

Re: Random events of the day

Well, as an intelligent individual I also can't help but see churches and temples and such as part pretty architecture and part monument to human ignorance. Morality and ethics exist without religion and it saddens me than in the 21st century people still think fairy tales are truths. Again, I'd rat...

Re: Random events of the day

While part of me says "yes, it's terrible, the history, the architecture" the other part of me looks all the hundreds of millions of dollars pledged from around the world to rebuild it and just thinks about all the homeless and hungry that could be helped.

Re: Random rant of the day

Well, at least you've got hobbies. And PnP gaming requires social interaction. So you're not a hermit. :)

Re: Random events of the day

Performed my first ever bridge swap (replacement) on one of my guitars yesterday. I've been playing for just over 30 years but used to think adjustments and setups were some kind of wizardly magic. It's only been in the last year or so I've started doing my own work and... it's not that hard. Some t...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

Ha! Yes. The late 70's and early 80's, when we thought Lucas was brilliant. And then we realised he wasn't. He exposed himself. :)

Re: Random rant of the day

Very true. And hobbies you're passionate about help a great deal. Music kept me alive. Being able to write songs also kept me sane.

Do you have any hobbies?

It's been your bane almost the entire time we've known each other. I always worry about you.

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

Never liked Star Wars, never will. I have certain fondness for the original trilogy, at least the little child I was when I saw it does but that's it. I'd honestly rather watch Plan 9 From Outer Space than any Star Wars movie.

Re: Random rant of the day

I'm so sorry to hear that, Marcus. You're a good guy that doesn't deserve all the issues you deal with. I really hope it's nothing serious.

Re: Random rant of the day

Marcus, with everything you've said over the years about your health, you could probably make some money if you don't mind wires and probes and such. Some of the doctors and nurses and mad scientists might even be cute? Who knows? ;)

Re: Random rant of the day

Yeah, people are great with going of topic or giving completely unasked for opinions. "So, I've narrowed it down to a Ford or GM" "No way dude... you should totally get a motorcycle. They're the bestest!" Anyhow, sorry about your health. You always seem to have a new issue. Have you considered being...

Re: Random rant of the day

Man, people are annoying sometimes. I posed the question, on one of the musician/gear forums I'm on, of what my next guitar should be. I asked for opinions on tone, build quality, that sort of thing. Not one reply has answered the questions. Nope. Not one. Ask specific questions, get random, unasked...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

I've never watched it. Maybe someday. We interrupted our VOY rewatch again, to watch S3 of Santa Clarita Diet. Light fluffy zombie cheese. Shame the seasons are only 10 episodes long.
