Re: Issue 17 - Older Parents

This is certainly a delicate issue, and one which inspires many a debate. At the very least I hope that this piece will encourage further thought on the matter.

I'd be happy for you to choose my avatar, Joseph. As a fellow Whovian I'm assured of your good taste.

Re: Issue 16 - The Rise of the Supernatural (part 1)

I'm sorry my reading of your piece has been so slow, Michael. That said, I really must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. More, the way Le Fanu's life reflected his dark art is very eerie, but hardly surprising given the way that such subject matter tends to play on the mind after a while. I look forward ...

Thanks too to Michael and Gorth, your comments are much appreciated. It's always a pleasure to have reader feedback and I trust I can keep the column asking the reader questions.

I love the connection, Joseph! South Park may be a little near the mark sometimes but the point is entirely valid.

D. Sauzi - thank you so much for your kind words, I hope I can keep you interested as the column continues.

Re: Issue 16 - Coming Home

Gripping storytelling, Lina. The use of the answerphone message as the link between the living and the dead is exceptionally eerie. A real spinechiller à la Tales of the Unexpected - Roald Dahl would be pround!

Re: Issue 16 - Overworked and Underpaid

You raise some very interesting points, Joseph. And I can't help but agree with the way you see things. Sadly, the human condition seems to come complete with an array of self-serving impulses, any number of which may come to the fore in the workplace. Where are Aristotle's Virtues when you need them?

Re: Issue 16 - The Vinyl Revolution

Great work, Joe!

You're article has given me further insight into the music-listening of my younger days, and provides much-deserved praise for a music medium largely ignored by the latest generation of music listeners.

Issue 16 - Camera Obscura: The Re-Cycle of Life

http://www.winterwind-productions.com/issue16/life.htm With the age-old human need to avoid death ever-present, it is perhaps worth noting that our material aspect is part of one long recycling process, which may be seen as providing us - and the rest of the world - with a sort of immortality. But s...

Re: Issue 15 - The Mirror Too Close

Lina and Gorth - thank you! I really appreciate your comments. If I may try and clarify my basic point, it's that we are essentially flawed beings, and that we don't like to acknowledge this in our daily lives. The most 'flawed' examples of us are kept far from the public gaze, unless it's time to w...
