Re: Random rant of the day

I hate the Faroes Transport Authority, or however you'd translate the name of Satan Upon This Earth Incarnate from Faroese to civilised. I had to buy a new student pass online, and their piece of shit software from the bygone age of legends bugged out multiple times. "Oh well," thinks I "looks like ...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Alas, I have forsaken Dark Souls for Crusader Kings 2. I must admit, there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a back-water semi-noble family of britannic counts, and through diplomacy, deceit and warfare, turn them into the dukes, kings, and finally emperors of France - all in the span of six gener...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

(NB: There might be S p o il e r s ahoy! But after you're done reading this, you'll thank me.) I've just finished watching Sucker Punch . It's not a good movie. Short summary: Manga - The Anime: The Videogame: The Movie. Longer summary: Y'know, when it comes to obvious cash-in action movies, I'm us...

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Play Thread

Konrad addresses the commoners - "Very good, every one! Now, four of you stay here and help us block any doors and windows down here. Everyone else who isn't fighting, or keeping the doors shut, should head up the stairs, and start building more barricades! Apart from that, Konrad doesn't do anythin...

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Discussion Thread

Cool, I was just wondering if there was anything more I could do. Ah well, time to siphon off a few to barricade the stairs.

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Discussion Thread

Could I keep rolling diplomacy in order to give these people morale bonuses via rousing speeches - àla bard? I'd check, but d20srd seems to be down for me :/

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Play Thread

Konrad shouts over to the cowering commoners, whilst trying to drag more crap over to the door. "Stout arms go hand in hand with stout hearts! Come on, give us a hand over here! The more of us who help barricade the doors, the sooner we'll all be safe!". (Diplomacy, +10)

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Discussion Thread

No need, just bite into a bar of rancid soap, and you've recreated the joys and wonders of lutefisk. Well, apart from the utterly revolting consistency of it, but you can emulate that by biting into some particularly soft rubber.

A good idea, one that I'll use in fact. In a moment, though, because dinner's ready :)
