Re: Random rant of the day

So, the opening ceremony for the 30th Olympic Games was breathtakingly beautiful. I thought it started a bit silly with the pastoral scenes, but once Kenneth Branagh delivered his speech from The Tempest, my mind was getting ever so steadily blown. Amazing light shows, wonderful choreography, and he...

Holy shit, it's LS's birthday today! Who could've known that *this* would be the day? Well, anyone with access to a calendar would :) Grattis, boyo! ;)

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Play Thread

"Gorth, if you can keep those... things away from me, I might be able to wrench their brains out through their ears."

Peeking over the edge of the table, Konrad concentrates on the closest zombie, and tries (in vain :P ) to blast its brain with his mind. (-1 pp)

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Discussion Thread

Damnit Merl, now I feel pressured into wasting power-points on those bastards

I would have done it anyway, as a holdover from my pnp days ;)

Re: Random events of the day

I bought myself a ukulele today. It was only ~50$, so why the hell not. Now I only need to learn how to tune and play the damn thing, and then it'll be smooth sailing from here to stardom.

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Play Thread

Konrad is abruptly torn out of his psychic reverie (or senile fugue, as other, more unkind folk would say) by Gorth's call to action, and in his confusion he tries his best to aid his associate in toppling the table. "Blast it, this isn't good! I'm a merchant, not a knight!" [aid another, +2] If the...

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Discussion Thread

Hey guys, I'm ever so horribly sorry for flaking out like that, and it's even worse considering I've been slightly vocal about having to stick to schedules. But like Joseph already said, I've been busy with volunteer work these past few weeks, and this is my first real time off since I started. Remi...

If you're into heavy metal, you've most likely heard of Devin Townsend and his (many) side-projects. He's Canadian.

Hah! It's not as if I intend to spend a single fraction of any given currency on a Bioware game ever again, and certainly not ME3 if I ever remember to play it again, once (or if) I've updated my hardware.

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Play Thread

Konrad nods his appreciation towards the bartender "The burned man is an associate of mine. Much obliged all the same, and should you ever be in need of silks or spices, I'm sure we can work out a discount." As if ... With the business with the bartender out of the way, Konrad turns his attention to...

Re: MERLANCE's Campaign Discussion Thread

Personally, I really like yellow. High contrast + visibility makes it great for the dark template. But I'm betting it's absolute shite on the light one :) As an informal show of hands, how many of us use the dark template? As you've probably gathered, I'm one. ::edit:: And until we agree on a colour...

Re: Mass Effect 3

I recently got it for the XBox, after having played through the two previous ones back to back. I don't think I've felt to let down in my life :( The first red flag in my opinion, was the whorification of the characters from the previous games. I really liked Ashley as a character, because she felt ...
