They came online, just for a few minutes. They did, I was there.

Well, they were. This is strange. I was online, so was Magena and a couple of other people. I went through a few pages to see if there had been any new posts since the shut down, then after I hit refresh it had gone again.

I wonder if someone at Interplay just threw them back online for a few minutes to find/recover some contact information or something?

I didn't see any admin online though.

Do you know how long it lasted? Or what time it was?

Well I just clicked on my bookmark at 6:30pm GMT. And it was up for about 2 minutes. I haven't seen it back since, and I don't know how long it was up before I got there. Not long I would guess, as there were only 3 people online, and no posts were made, that I could see, in the time before it went down again.

I kinda have given my hopes up on it returning, but I will check from time to time.

Well, I think either one of the webmasters was messing around with something (obviously all the php files and the database are still intact - so they must just be disabling the sub-domain), or someone from IPLY wanted to get onto the forum to dig out some contact info or something. I doubt they would want to recover any posts or information from a post - but you never know.

Yeah, the posts are very old now.

I think the Pandaman Projcect is what shut it down.

No, I checked while I was there - that topic had been deleted.

Now lets keep this announcement on topic, or I'll purge all of your posts for the last 4 weeks.

I'm not being obtuse, but why do people give a toss whether they're online or not.

Interplay is dead. This interest borders on necrophilia.

Because there are many FAQ's and creative posts that people would have liked to have saved and rescued but never got a chance.

There were also many friendships over the boards, and some people didn't get a chance to exchange contact details to stay intouch with each other.

Well put monte, it is dead, but as Val says, many didn't get to exchange contact info. All mine was in my saved PMs. :madr:

kumquatq3, if you like I can make a forum that says IPLY General feed back, you can post in it and I'll ban you for a day.
