Hello

Post by Gorth » Wed May 12, 2004 8:17 am

I figured that I should put a post here eventually. Not that anybody ever accused me of doing things in the correct order.

So here we go: "Hello!"

About Gorth:

Real name: Michael
Age: 37
Sex: Male
Profession: Developer (erp systems, e-commerce etc.)
Nationality: Danish

Interests: Ancient history, myhology, philosophy, psychology, tabletop wargames, books, board games, video games (no game consoles, sorry)

Board history: A career as lurker. Started lurking on IPLY boards when coverart for Jefferson was released. Was *just* about to register there when BIS got axed. Lurked around a bit on WW, AC and Obsidian when they set up shop. Finally signed up on all three :?

:)

Thanks

Now I'll head back to the battleground that is Obsidian and do some lobbying. I gave up, convincing anybody to add a tail (and punchdaggers) to any of the female cast in their new game. Now I'll do some propaganda for a couple of post apocalyptic levels and blue jump suits...

All is forgiven, even your danish heritage. I love you! Oh, and welcome.

Welcome Gorth! Always nice to see new yet somewhat familiar names around the place.

Gorth, I like that name. Reminds me of Wayne's World...only darker.

:D

Actually, "Gorth" is a tribute to my first internet account from the year of the lord 1988 A.D.

I was browsing through the appendixes of the Silmarillion and found the name Gorthaur. I sort of liked it, but couldn't pronounce it (being Danish ). So, I just chopped off all the unnecessary parts.

The avatar is very fitting also. Whenever I see a steal helmet I'm going to think "Gorth." I see a lot of helmets, too.
