Nerve or respect...

Post by Jan » Fri Oct 01, 2004 6:40 pm

Today at the farmaceutical office...I got in, got a ticket, number 57, then waited for 10 minutes. When the female clerc called my number 57 I approached the desk, but an old tight-lipped elegantly dressed lady with a hint of a black moustache beat me to the clerc. She just stepped up and with some funny and fast gesture showing her ticket quickly wrapping it together and throwing it into the bin...I just stood there stunned with myh jaw dropping...showing my number...and being ignored. She looked at me once as if I was a complete moron and then continued as if nothing was the matter.

I mean...really?! When the lady was done and left I stepped up to the cleric laughing and showing my number. The clerc just looked at me like I was criminally insane...but I got my stuff.

Well... ... ... Do you respect your elders too?

I'm a strong proponent of euthanasia for the old, unfortunately I'm in the minority here

I support the idea that they all need a swift kick in the groin.

My personal theory is at "retirement age" they enter a lottery with 3 possible outcomes.

A) 6 months to live it up

B) 1 year

C) A "pass" where they go until natural causes catch them.

The building I'm in right now is 95% seniors. I'v couted about 5 people under 65.

I don't think her age had any factor...she is probably just a rude person.

So yes...always respect your elders.

I'm for respecting everyone. Elder or not, if she wasn't respecting you, you don't owe her anything and were right to react as if it would have been anyone else.

I’m all for the Logan’s run theory, but doubled …… I don’t intend to live much beyond 60 so I may be biased.

Elders? I got rid of them a long time ago. Now, though, I'll have to get rid of the young 'uns.
