Just watched Escape from New York, a lot more subdued than I thought it would be and that kind of ruined it for me. Not horrible but still worth the praise and definately was made in a day before explosions were the norm on action movies.
I have no time for flat characters why should I have times for flat people?

So am I. I hope Rick gets killed off. His character bores me now.

Saw my first episode of Doctor Who at a friends place. He been nagging me for months, if not years to watch it. It was crazy statue angels who sucked the time out of people or something.

Finished the Rocketeer and watched Flash Gordon for a second time. I liked it albeit the silly Nazis vs. gangsters ending made the end made me go what?

It's a shame pulp almost never seems to adapt to film successfully.

Depends on which one you watched Marcus. The first appearance of the Weeping Angels, the episode "Blink", is highly regarded.

Playing catch-up with the animated series of Avengers Assemble and Hulk: Agents of SMASH. They're fun, however I do think Avengers Assemble is much stronger than SMASH since SMASH is basically throwing stuff at Hulk and his crew to smash it. Plus there is no Bruce Banner in Hulk, and well that's something that is integral to the character. Something that's much more apparent in SMASH

I binge watched How I Met Your Mother after avoiding it because I really didn't like Friends and people were all, like, "woha what a Friends clone and all" and... yeah. It's no 30 Rock but I deem it one of the better sitcom offerings available (also, unlike most of them this one actually had a cast of at least *some* talent, oh, an NPH of course ;)).

Which isn't saying much I guess. Most sitcoms are crap. Prior to really liking 30 Rock I would have argued that ALL of them are crap. Eh.

Plowing through Andromeda. On the seventh episode of season 4, if it wasn't for my OCD about completing things I would've dropped it... well that and Laura Bertram. I've also finished Gravity Falls for the year, the reveal was kinda predictable if you read guesses on fansites like I do but overall it's great.

My fiancee recently showed me Supernatural and it's good from what I have seen so far which is up to the 9th episode.

Oh joy. You should have stopped right before Mayflies and pretended the other episodes never happened.

Yeah I dropped that as soon as Daredevil came out and started watching it. It's a nice mix of court procedural and superhero action

Kung Fury - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS5P_LAqiVg

The best 80ies over the top action flick that came out in 30 years. Too bad they didn't reach the full feature film length stretch goal on kickstarter, but this is good enough.

HOFF9000 FTW. ;)
