It's about 24 hours now. Woke up once during the night craving the damn things. Took an hour to get back to sleep.

Since the addiction is part chemical and part habit I still go outside like I'm smoking, I just take a lot of deep breaths.

48 hours now. I'm actually impressed with myself. Two days and no cigarettes. That's one goal on its way.

Now about that job... seriously, it takes five minutes to do a reference check. The manager promised me a job six weeks ago. Sure, he was apparently on the road, yeah, the holidays just happened but a) reference checks are quick and b) they're a simple formality. You obviously only use references that you know are good. And it's a part-time position, no rocket science or top-secret clearance involved.

Grandious. Christmas is over and time for the shittiest of holidays! A filthy excuse to drink and celebrate as the wheel has turned a full....turn again. Oh how wonderful. Time to restart everything again and be depressed over things one failed.

I do not love the cold by winter but I do enjoy the darkness. Things get more subtle and calm then summer team where people are more active and loud. One of the most beautiful things I know is an autumn forest or newly snowcovered fields.

Oh man... Why are you so narrow-minded and negative?

Yes, there is a beauty to winter. And New Year's is nothing special to me either but you don't see me calling it "shitty" and "filthy". And that's especially funny coming from you after telling me how drunk you were the other night and how hungover you were the day after. You want to talk about history, since you seemed to think you were the only person who knew the history of celebrations during the winter... New Year's is nothing new. People have been celebrating the changing of the seasons and the changing of the years for a lot longer than the current incarnation of "New Year's".

Also, part of discussing things on a discussion forum involved responding to posts prior to your own.

Do you ever wonder why I get a headache and type *sigh* a lot when we chat?

72 hours without a cigarette has made me cranky and you really need a good smack upside the head.

I was not "that drunk", I Was hungover. I remember what I done.

I need although no excuse to go drink now and then. And I was not the only person proclaiming I knew, you where the person proclaiming I could not call it Christmas hah! :P But even if people are Christian or not! They use that term.

Well I find it good you stopped smoking, it is noticeable that you are bloody damn cranky indeed. Good way going there indeed. Can't say much about the reference check, I presume that boss is as lazy as you think I am. :P

Marcus... talking with you always gives me a headache. It's like talking to a bloody brick wall. Which is why everyone gave up on talking to you a few years ago when there were more than just a handful of us left on the boards.

And you can't be hungover unless you're drunk first.

What's your point? First you weren't drunk, then you were but you remember the evening? So what? No one is talking about recall except you.

Hehe. Well I was drunk but not "that drunk".

Drinking till you puke seemingly is something fun according to some crazy people.

My brother and I are hit and miss, he's very shy and I wish he was more extroverted. He and I have little to nothing in common with me. So I get lonely even when I am with him.

Sorry it took long to respond.

No worries. And loneliness takes many forms.

On that subject... Christmas alone was rough for me but I think yesterday was even worse. A milestone birthday alone. Not even a phone call.

// I just spent 53 USD on two days worth of groceries. Such little amount of food. But, it's all local with no added bullshit. I'm hoping eating healthier will inspire a better mood. I've been more apathetic (even less angry!) Than usual. I dislike it. Starting to affect the good relationship with friends and the lady.

Well, food does affect many aspects of your health. I wish it would do something for me but nothing much will change for me until I find a job.
