Inspired by the near-identical thread in The Arts forum, I thought a similar thread regarding movies would be fitting :)

So, feel free to tell us what the last movie you saw was, and any further detail would be highly appriciated.

The last movie I saw was The Godfather Part II, a terrific movie though not one of my favorites. It managed to entertain my for 3 hours which is a good achivement in itself but never did I find myself completely awestruck, though it had its moments.

And of course, comments on this movie or any other is also very much welcome.

The last movie I saw was "White Noise" - kinda half a scary film - though not scary. A nice original story, with a few bits to make you jump. Not as good as The Grudge in my opinion.

Saw "National Treasure" a week before that. Tomb Raider meets Indiana Jones

Speaking of Samurai movies, has anyone, besides me of course, seen the movie Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa?

Which I can understand since that movie rocks!

Too bad the sequel, Gamle Mænd i Nye Biler(Old Men in New Cars) didn't really live up to the first(shock).

Cyborg Cop...

this is the second worst movie (in the good meaning of the word) after Battlefield:Earth. It's been a long time i saw something this predictable and this stupid a storyline.

I usually try top get a handful of user reviews from imdb.com before even bothering with getting a movie...
And then, I'll only buy something that I've wathced in the movies or on divx. Too much "stupid storyline" stuff out there.

@Samurai Watching Panda, I saw it a few times, but the last time would be more than 15 years ago I think. Can't remember much detail anymore except that I found it to be an awesome movie at the time. Perhaps I should see if I could dig that one and Dr. Strangelove up somewhere for a B/W flip.

Cool, glad I'm not the only one :) And I agree with it being an awesome. And Dr. Strangelove should be seen whenever possible, I think it's one of the funniest movies ever.

Another funny movie, and one that I just saw, is The Big Labowski, it's just cracks me up everytime I see it.

In the theatres the last movie seen was "National Treasure"...I enjoyed it, even if it was a Disney feature.

I really want to see 'Meet the Fockers'...

At home we recently saw "Hellboy"...just glad I didn't pay money for it.

...and also "Hidalgo". I rather liked it, the story was entertaining and wouldn't mind adding that to my DVD collection one day.

No kidding?! You would think a film called "Cyborg Cop" would be quite interesting and spine-tingling!

I am on your side with Battlefield: Earth though. I went out of my way to see the friggin' opener of the damn thing! I also went out of my way to get drunk before the movie started. Even the vodka could not save that film.

It stands beside The Village as the worst movie disappointment of all time.

Well, I'll soon be off to see Blade: Trinity, so lets see if your statement stands, which I really hope it will...

On the cyborg cop, i didnt go out and buy this movie, it was a present for being active on the book we brought out on our third lustrum...

I think watching it between 6 and 8 am after coming home from a party was a good idea to make it more fun...

Come on, how bad can it be? It's got not one but two sequels so there must be something there...

Okay, Blade: Trinity is, together with Resident Evil 2, without a doubt the worst cinematic experience ever in my entire life.

The first Blade I think was kind of cool, so there was just a small hope that this one would be entertaining too... but, to sum it up in one sentence:

Triple H was the best part of the movie...
