I don't know if you need a fiancee *cough* (never had one) to start a life, but whatever rocks your boat :P

Kudos to your friend if he did indeed get you on the right path and start participating in something, be it studying, sports, whatever that makes you do things with other people. It's not the goal, but it's a start.

Ireland sucks at the moment, otherwise you could have asked your sister if she had any contacts on the Emerald Isle. Ah well. You do need to create a physical distance between you and your dad though. Not necessary shutting him out of your life, but to a point where it puts you in control of the "relationship", so you don't have to suffer those attempts at "guilt trips" and whatever else bitter old men sometimes play, when they can't see the true reason for their misery (usually quite visible in the bathroom mirror).

I'm not a psychologist though, I can't "diagnose" issues. I just sometimes need to kick people's shins to get them to suck in their bellies, puff their chests out and chins up, especially when deadlines are looming

Hmm, i dont believe Ireland is so sucky atm, house prices are at an all time low, just make sure you land a job before heading there ;)

talking about rocking boats btw, maybe get yourself a tree of some sort, that always seems the easiest out of huisje, boompje, beestje.
What i mean to say with that is pretty much you're grown up when you decide you are. Whatever social status symbols should accompany that tag is for yourself to decide, dont look at sisters and neighbors to see what you're missing.

I wouldnt sit out those three years btw (you're 22 right?), if you really want to get out, and from what i've heard over the years you've been wanting to for a couple of years already, do so. Your dad can hire some yugo to make his coffee in his old days ;).
All you need to do is get a small side job, apply for the waiting list and allowance, and react to any advert-thing you pass by (try supermarkets, cafes, etc), and get out. Maybe get someone to pressure you, pressure often helps to finally act.
"anyway, smoke orcs if so take eyes if right points left xy."

DENMARK IS TOO EXPENSIVE.

I had 18000 DKK at the beginning of this month, granted that I hadn't paid my rent and other fixed costs too, but still it was pretty good for being on unemployment insurance.. I even got my mother to transfer the money she intended to spend on presents for me, which isn't included in the 18K.. But all those nice money got eaten up pretty quickly..

After paying the monthly expenses I was down to about 10K for living.. But then the money I transferred to my gf in november still hadn't surfaced in her account.. So I had to buy her flight tickets, while there was still time and also the train tickets for going to to Copenhagen Airport at the 24th of December to pick her up and returning her to the airport in Copenhagen (Kastrup) on the 8th of January and home to myself again. 2x2 + 2x1 tickets = 6 train tickets in all. At least I wont have those expenses in January.. But I was a bit shocked about the cost, even though I managed to get some of the tickets with a special 'Orange' discount. Still Nearly 1500 DKK.. plus 2300 DKK for the flight tickets. Nearly 3800 DKK for the travel expenses.

I also realized that my flat and bedroom wasn't quite suited for her either.. Lacking pillows and double bed sized duvets and sheets.. And maybe the mattress is too hard too.. It actually is too hard for me.. And old nicotine yellow curtains.. So with the added cost of a king size duvet, sheets, pillows, top mattress and curtains.. Another 3000 DKK. Actually I never thought about buying curtains, it was my mothers idea and I was sort of caught by surprise and accidentally bought them..

And then I got an unexpected dental bill, for work not finished yet.. for 2000 DKK. I called them and got it split up in two installments of 1000 each, but still..

And then about two weeks ago my winter shoes finally gave up with the added bonus of a clear line of air intake from the bottom of the sole.. That squishy sound is driving me crazy and this month has really been wet.. already. I got a pair of semi-sandal shoes, with really big air holes on top, which are really bad for walking.. I can feel the swelling of hard sore near-blistering skin on my heels..

So I was sort of waiting for that money transfer to my gf, which never arrived to her, to be returned home to me, but instead of doing that in those two weeks they were supposed to make those kind of arrangements the Ukrainian bank instead decided to make a new service to convert the danish currency to the Ukrainian currency.. Can you believe it, when I made a transfer of 2300 DKK to my gf, my bank actually send 2300 DKK to the Ukrainian bank.. I paid 240 DKK for that service and my bank just pocketed the money without converting the money to Ukrainian currency and the Ukrainian bank was unable to do, because.. well, apparently there isn't much trade between Ukraine and Denmark so the stock of Danish Currency is .. missing.

And then there are presents.. I got my gf a nice golden heart on a gold chain with an inscription and with a room inside for two pictures.. And then last week there also was a show in the local goldsmith shop.. Where I accidentally bought some Kazuri necklaces.. Actually I was in that shop a few days before with my mother and she saw these beautiful stones.. But when I got there, they were missing of course and then I got taken in by something else which I later realized wasn't really suitable for my mother.. so that's another present for my gf...

Today I got the present for my parents done. Quite a stroke of luck. Nice and cheap.

So.. I have about 1000 DKK left for the rest of the month, plus an additional amount of money my gt will be returning to me from that transfer, but I am afraid that she will spend some of it.. It's equal to €300 and she's already taken €100 for the cost of Visa to Denmark. It's okay, but I wasn't counting on that additional cost or the delay of the transfer.. I just hope that I can find a cheap pair of VERY GOOD shoes on discount soon.. There is also going to be some additional cost from food and transport.. I mean I am going to spend 3½ hours on the train alone and then another 3½ hours on the train with my gf home on the 24 of december..

The hardest part about all of this is, that I suck at being reasonable with money. I am a really bad saver and the longer I have to try to do it the worse it gets when I finally fail it. When I go on vacation somewhere I usually leave quite a tip for restaurants and taxis, because I think it's too petty and embarrassing to be concerned and fumbling about with coins and little money.. Denmark is more petty in that way, because they always gives you money back except Taxi drivers who gladly pocket it when I say keep the change. I wasn't born to be poor.. I am not really poor, but it feels really close.

Hm.. it doesn't quite add up.. I should have more money.. Oh right, there was also two suspicious charges on my visa.. For about $60. Seems those 'adult' services that I thought I cancelled last month is still running and Skype ignored my 'disabled' auto-recharge and added credits for another 200 DKK on my Skype-to-Phone, which I stopped using three months ago, because it's too expensive, when I was down to 15 minutes.. Skype has an annoying tendency to run an Auto-Update for the new version every two weeks.. I don't like the new version, because they seriously *i have potty mouth* up the snapshot feature. I really starting to regret giving my credit card information away for any online trade, especially services.

Sometimes it just feels like vultures are waiting for your weakest and most vulnerable moment, before they will strike you with some irreversible silly bill just before.. Hm.. That 'x' like the crosses in eyes in cartoons when people die.. Not x-mas, but R.I.P.-MAS. Hm.. RIP-MAS. Those pesky periods, but it's not really peace. Rest in pieces.

At least I got a hardware upgrade from my previous employer.. Except the DDR3 ram had been replaced by a Pentium E6700 CPU.. Otherwise I would be running a nice Core i7-960 on an ASUS Sabertooth X58 motherboard with 12GB of triple-channel ram.. on my old and venerable Windows XP.. 32bit.. Yep, leaving me with 8GB of unused and inaccessible memory.. I love it. I was goint to get that CPU switched for the RAM today, but today was a really bad day.

That mattress that I am going to use as top mattress for my rock hard bed.. The shop promised me that they would have had it done by Friday, yesterday, but nothing yet. I got up really early today, because I was going to go to Aarhus to pick up the mattress and make a switch of the CPU for the RAM.. In two different parts of town and hopefully within two hours so I would be able to use the same ticket.. Ticket last for 2 hours because I am travelling across seven zones.. Some system.. Anyway.. I must be going senile especially in the morning, because I was dead sure that I put the ticket a certain place in the evening before I went to bed, but in the morning I couldn't find it and missed the first train.. While I was waiting for the next train I called the shop where I was supposed to pick up the mattress.. Turned out that the reason they didn't call me yesterday as agreed is because they haven't made it yet.. It's a mattres of a luxurious kind of soft cold-pressed rubber foam or something like that.. Hm.. I got this one ticket that I am hoping to use for everything.. So.. getting the CPU swithed, collect the mattress, find shoes.. in about 1 hour.. Maybe it's too optimistic.. I decide it is, but it's been so long since I had a new piece of hardware.. So I go, but before I get out I decide to get a cloth bag for the CPU.. It's in the kitchen, but as I go to get it in the kitchen I realize that I also need to go to the toilet.. Quickly done, washing my hands, getting dressed and then out of the door down to the train station, stamping the ticket and then as the train rolls in I suddenly realize I forgot the CPU at home.. AAAARRGH. Only good thing is that the office in the train station is still open.. I explain myself and get a new multi-ticket with one free clip. The clip is saved, but I just spend three hours fooling around for nothing.. in the morning. I could have been asleep.. and rested well.. I had to take a nap at my parents place, when I visited them later in the evening.. Just an hour, but in that hour my mother finished those buns she was making.. and then I didn't even get the buns, when they were still warm. I love fresh and warm homemade buns with cold butter.. Drools.. But of course I missed that too.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat.. My webcam is ruined - like me. It fell off the table yesterday, strapped to a bottle because it can't get a fix anywhere on my monitor or elsewhere, too much weight pulling it, survived before, but the wires coming out of it show that they have been stretched too much.. Something has most likely been torn loose inside, but the holes leading into the indented star screws are too long, narrow and small for any tool I have. Tonights session with my gf on Skype revealed that. No picture from me. I can't afford any more costs this month, whether pointless or stupid. Figures it wouldn't happen now. Just grrrrreat.

I'm trying to picture Jan strapped to a bottle...

Todays rant is traffic lights. Who the *@*&%$!!! came up with the idiocy that is those buttons pedestrians have to push for no reason other than to annoy and breed a culture of ignoring traffic lights, because you can't to such idiocy seriously.

It's the pinnacle of city council planning failure and engineering screwups and they happily perpetuate and expand on it. Why, oh why, do pedestrians have to chose between feeling like silly sheep or small time criminals when the pedestrian light stays red, despite all other lights in the direction being green (and the traffic in the other direction has a red light anyway)?!?

In Denmark they don't actually work. They are just there to kill time pushing buttons, while you wait for the light to change anyway.. which is just as stupid. At some point there were buttons like these on straight roads to force the traffic to stop for the crossing of pedestrians, but most of them has been removed again to let the drivers piss on you more, since you are basically at their mercy unless you take the first step.. I spend a lot of time teaching the drivers to stop by simply moon-walking to the other side of the street. Sometimes I see old people patiently waiting for traffic to notice them and stop.. Those old fools are ruining my work and I berate them for it every chance I get.. There are stripes on the road and there is a Pedestrian sign next to the stripes.. But most drivers in this stinking town ignore both if you act like it's their choice to decide if they want to stop.. it's not. The lessons that are taught to children are to look for traffic, but in this town it's actually a signal to the drivers to keep driving apparently.. In a way it's the same ordeal.

Was visiting my doctor today. To ask what the feck to do now when the neurologits said no.

Well she says "You only have migraine, you cannot have a specialist appointment with just normal, classical migraine. You can have some new medicine to try. This will solve your migraine"

Just to shorten it up more or less. But yes, seemingly "mediciation can remove my migraine".

No it can't! Migraine is freaking chronic ffs.

So when I proclaim I am not there cause of it being funny

She becomes irritated and tells me the swedish healthcare is not working.

No shit it isn't working. I am not in a "priority" group. But Libyan soldiers get healthcare here and Afghanian "children" (note: Men) who flee here get all the service they need. But old ladies from Ukraine and Bosnian girls in need of eye surgery! THOSE WE TOSS OUT. And the famous free healthcare? NOPE! Don't think so! If I could pay a private clinic, sure! But to pay for that I need money, and to get money I need a job and to get a job I need working experience and a good health.

fudge the current political party and their tax cutting strategy to gain votes. Fucking tards voting for those semi capitalistic nutjobs. Confuckingratz. They just made me even more red.

I think most people, regardless of where they are, have a "fudge the politicians, they're lying swine" attitude. And considering at least 98% of them are... *shrugs*

Having a wisdom tooth pulled tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. Had one, on the opposite side of my mouth, pulled years ago and I recovered very quickly. However, that was about 15 years ago and I doubt I heal as quickly now.

I hate being out of a job. It's a litlte funny, that when I was on social welfare for a few months in the middle of the nineties and I was checking out some educational courses in the local jobcenter I was told that they were reserved for union members.. Now that I am in a union and on insurance I am told that I don't qualify, because I've already got an education, even though it's a very short and old one.. Fucking hell!! What's the point??

And tomorrow I have to go to some evaluation program where the bureaucrats of the union will decide for themselves how busy I have been getting out of that pit that they have dug deeper for me.

The problem is that the politicians and lawmakers have their cushy government jobs and simply don't give a rat's ass about anyone other than themselves and their pals. Empty promises from all of them. I'd like to see the politicians, the judges, the civil servants, etc, all unemployed and homeless. Might teach them a thing or two about honesty and humility.

As I mentioned in a Facebook post last night I'm truly to the point where I'm in favour of a class war where the bourgeois ruling class is overthrown and publicly executed for crimes against humanity. My pacifistic socialist views have been eroded.

You will never find them. I've yet to meet a politician, and I've met many and helped out on many a campaign for candidates, that genuinely cares about anyone other than themselves. Some may start out idealistic and honest but they're corrupted soon enough.

The problem with having visions and ideals is that they can't really be done unless you are the indisputed CEO of a large company or the dictator.. In politics everything is a trade-off for support and power and .. who knows what else.
