I'm so sorry to hear that, Marcus. You're a good guy that doesn't deserve all the issues you deal with. I really hope it's nothing serious.

The doctor I got this time think it will go away on its own but he wanted to do tests.

And thanks! Health been my bane for the last 10 or 15 years.

It's been your bane almost the entire time we've known each other. I always worry about you.

Very true. And hobbies you're passionate about help a great deal. Music kept me alive. Being able to write songs also kept me sane.

Do you have any hobbies?

I like games, computer games, pen and paper. I follow sports a bit. I write at times, but it's mostly PnP stuff so nothing special.

Well, at least you've got hobbies. And PnP gaming requires social interaction. So you're not a hermit. :)

I should probably go back and edit the thread title for this since ranting is not what any of us do here... except maybe Marcus. ;)

So anyhow, started a new job at the beginning of the month and have had no time for doing any content for Winterwind'd youtube channel. Irony. You need the job for better gear but then have no time to use the gear. Oh, well, paying down bills faster is alright. Can't forget that.

New jobs aren't always nice so much as necessary. Bills must be paid. That's what it boils down to. Here, we often use the term "survival job". That's something you take to pay your bills until you can get your career back on track or... haha... find your "dream jobs". ;)

I got lucky*. My job I had to earn a little money on the side while studying proved to be a stepping stone leading to something I actually enjoy doing (and have studied long and hard for). As a bonus the work life balance is great, the colleagues are nice and it's almost around the block, being only a 20 minute commute.

The pay could be better. I'm part of an in-house development team and if I would join some dedicated development company I could rake in a good deal more. Extra money I don't really need - at the expense of commute time and added stress. So no, thanks.

*I mean it, lucky. I got lucky that I grew up in a place where I could make use of my talents and get the education I needed without having to struggle with crippling debt even though my parents had only one blue collar level income for the longest of times. Lucky enough to have had teachers who cared. And lucky enough that my skills and talent carried me through an ardous experience back at school that by any right should have seen me fail out.

Ah hell, who am I kiding. It was all hard work and sacrifice, I pulled myself up by my bootstraps. I certainly didn't need any of that pinko commie socialist crap to improve my lot in life. Yeah! Vote Trump!
