I could have started a new thread, just to please Josan, but this one belongs here...

I have picked up a copy of Guild Wars Prophecies and started playing that. Although the guy in the shop said it was a poor game compared to World of Warcraft, which maybe it is, I find I like it. For the few hours that I can play this one gives me more value for my money than WoW.

Especially since you don't have to pay any subscription :D Hmmm, now that I'm no longer burdened with that crappy school internet of olden days, maybe I should dig out my copy of GW again...

I could use an experienced player to show me the ropes. Too bad I can never predict when I'll be online and when not... And that those online times are too short to get to know anyone in the online environment. Besides that, I also get called away a lot during online times. Sigh...one cannot depend on me...

Heh, I'm hardly what you can call an experienced player. I think I've only clocked in about 10 hours in the two or three years I've owned the game :)

I should try to find a regular moment in the week where I can play games. I have a deal with my wife for the wednesday evenings but the last few weeks attempts to play have been foiled by real life concerns. After all, one does not go to play when one's wife's favourite aunt has been diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer...

Ouch, that's gotta be tough :( But if you ever get out from under that shroud of bad luck, I've just started a new Prophecies character, going by the name of "Endar the First".

Endar the First... will keep it in mind! I may come online tonight, most likely between 7:00 and 8:30. Yesterday my wife needed to listen to music alone. I always leave her that room, especially under the circumstances.

I am trying things out but I'll have Ruathavril Pelotila present himself. Or I could start a new one, an intended warrior/necromancer which I want to try out. Umm....female....name...um...

Rualda the Vile? Is that recognizable? :P

It isn't all bad luck, I am careful to say. Today we had an appointment with my wife's doctor. He told us her iron and hemoglobin is getting better, but now he measured low folic acid (not sure about this translation, one of its best known uses is to prevent closing problems in premature babys like cleft lip). Maybe I am just being hopeful but I believe I detect an up going line!

For fun and games, I've founded the guild "Fools of Winterwind", making it the official Winterwind guild in Guild Wars. The tag for it is: [FoWW]

Ok! Now to find out how to join. But alas, that's not for today. Like I said, real life is evil and tends to get in the way... :-(

Heh, I've spent the past days grinding mercilessly, so that by now I've got some 6500 gold pieces. Those capes go for 2000 gp a pop, so the Fools should be a "proper" guild soon, though we'll need a guildhall too, and I doubt those are cheap.

And a nice one it is! I'll try to make a screenshot of lady elementalist Brit Ingesdotter too. For everyone's enjoyment as she, contrary to myself, is nice to look at :P

I still have to do this, don't I? Maybe this evening we can make snapshots of the Dynamic Duo of the Fools of Winterwind :)

I swear, I don't know these people. Any association is entirely incidental.
