I've always thought a good lashing with a buggy whip would benefit you immensely.
I do bugger-all, but that's OK;

Well, Jan, if you must know, we have been touched by your plea for subSilver and are considering... taking one template and simply having a dark and light version. And subSilver is the basis for the smartDark so...

...

I have been using SubSilver everywhere I've been registered at for the past 3 years or so, and you take it away from me? Get it back! *Starts throwing cars around in a very Hulk-like fashion*

Ah, quit your whining you silly french-canadian. We're working on reverse engineering the smartDark template.

And did I mention that CatBoris is designing pretty new bottons for the forums as well? Well, if I didn't... he is. Just so ya know.

Well, there's not much point in a newsletter without new content.

Like I said, we had 4 interviews lined up that fell flat so... *shrugs*

As in making our own? Because there's no point in sending out a WW Newletter about someone else's.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the members here never seemed to get the point about "member submissions".

Gorth is the only one who contributed to the Arts section and only Winterfox, Lord Elden and Fluffy contributed to Literature (outside of Choyrt and myself). I'd love to have more people submitting. Like I said, it's usually around 70 something of our register users that log on each month but only a dozen or so posting.

I suppose we could always raffle off "diner for... er... with CatBoris & Ewen" or something.

Hey Yian! Here's a thought...

You offered to lend a hand the other day when Jan was suggesting mods for the forums. You said you had some skill with phpBB so... how are you with templates.

Spider and I figure the concept of reverse engineering to create a dark & light version of one template is simple enough. It's the apllication we're not sure about.

Josan I think maybe just take random things maybe from the forums, and make articles from them. perhaps we just test once this idea? because I think if we email them something kind of good... they will be more interested...less work than to come here :P

OK folks, this is what we've come up with for colours.

Of course, new buttons will be added (new posts, no new posts, locked, post, reply etc etc) but that's what we're leaning towards for colour scheme.

And, as those of you who use the smartDark template can see, we've changed the text colouring for the links to a nice pretty blue, the blue seen in the new test template above.

The new buttons we hope to finish soon are snowflakes, if you can believe that. Winterwind, snowflakes... go figure.
