Sadly, I'm an honest thief, not a merchant.

I steal secrets, I pilfer privacy and I liberate locks. Robbing people blind in broad daylight is an art done by followers of darker and greedier gods than I.

Now, if you want me to spy on the competition, just say so. I might be able to tell which of the goats the rival merchant is dallying around with. You could blackmail him out of business with such information :cool:

All is fair in war and commerce!
I do bugger-all, but that's OK;
I sleep all night, and I read all day!

But not wrongly attributing a quote to someone else. For shame, Gorth. For shame!

You are getting old. Your post, three up, telling Magnus you're a spy, not a goat thief. The quote tags messed up. ;)

That was a trick to divert attention from what I was really doing.

Made a nice and vague intro post. Since not everyones ready entirely with their character couldnt quite give everyone an intro. But just accept it for what it is. Ill do better in the future.

Waterdeep has, I think, 125,000 year round, swelling to 300,000 for part of the year.

Waterdeep is also like the "Tokyo City" or so of the west coast, isn't it?

Suits me fine. I make a living off breaking in, spying and information retrieval after all. Also means, I don't need to carry 3 months of food supplies and similar "trekking" equipment from the outset. It can be bought on a need basis, depending on what the specifics of the contract turns out to be. So, I'll just go for some basic equipment on that d20 page list (leather armour, dagger, bow) and maybe just enough provisions for a typical one or two day excursion into unknown mansions, cellars, whatever as that is what my character would normally do. Got lost in the sewers once (assuming the place has sewers) and learnt the lesson of bringing at least a few days supplies of torches, water and cheese. Rats love cheese, makes good bait :cool:

We can always meet your guy later. Question is, have you even thought of your character yet? Not that I'm done, but at least I have my class and stats. ;)

Well, it gets tougher as time goes on to add outlanders, which is what you should all be, but I can stick people in the inn for the short term. I just wont describe all the extras that show up inquiring about the job.

Yeah, bloody outlanders. Taking away jobs from honest, hardworking local adventurers!

I hope to get my sheet filled out with the last details tonight or tomorrow. No work planned, so I might actually some stuff done.
