Zati takes a look at the books, seeing if there's anything of interest, use or value.

Josef simply stands at the top of the stairs, waiting for her to finish before descending to the main floor again.

Ara taps his chin as he look over the room, then he speaks to the others I have a odd feeling only one person lived here, and an elf at that! How strange? Then he starts to look over the room, looking for clues, maybe a diary explaining strange events or anything of interest at all as he glances over the things in the room.

"Indeed," replies Josef with a touch of sarcasm. "Did your divine priestly wisdom give you insight into the obvious or was it the lack of 'His and Hers' monogrammed bathrobes and that there's a dead elf downstairs surrounded by lots of arrow-ridden dead zombies and that elves are known to be rather good marksmen and more likely to own a fletchers shop than a dwarven battleaxe boutique?"

While still searching through the books for anything of interest, value or use, Zati giggles at Josef's comment.

(ooc - Nothing personal Marcus. I just thought it was hilarious when Merl posted that wisdom check.)

Ara snorts The elfs are not likely to be fletcher in a town like this, lending his or her talents to the humans to wage war on neighbours...or themself. And arrows....on the dead? The elf was a good archer indeed. A pity the elf is dead...we could have needed her or his help...A pity indeed...May Helm protect us all. Ara sighs deeply as he continues to lok about the room.

//No offense taken.

Josef shakes his head silently. Amazed at the insanity of the priest and the idiot bandaged thief. Neither are worth replying to half the time. At least the mage they rescued is sane.

Theres a lot of different books, on a variety of topics. Nothing particularly amazing stands out, but the books vary in quality from being with a silver pieces to five gold. On an end table next to the shelf is a business ledger that seems to detail income and expenses, but at a glance nothing catches Zatis eye as unusual about it.

Zati looks at Josef and shrugs. "Nothing useful. No spells books. I didn't think there would be but it's always worth checking." Zati heads back downstairs.

Josef follows her, grabbing the +1 STR composite bow and some arrows. Standing at the door, he looks out to the street to see if there are any zombies about.

Josef takes a look outside, he cant see much farther than 20 feet or so due to the range, and no zombies in that range.

Gorth manages to get the case unlocked and the bow out. It looks valuable, but it doesnt look like anyone can use it effectively. Its just too big (would require an exotic weapon proficiency feat).

Josef looks at Ara, wondering if the priest is in any condition to travel further without resting and recovering his spells. Josef then makes a few practice draws on the composite long bow he picked up, wishing he was just a touch stronger and could use the other one. He doesn't even care about the exotic one the thief has "liberated" from its case. He debates carrying both his light crossbow and the new longbow. The crossbow has served him well and he's almost reluctant to leave it behind.

As Zati waits for the group to decide on their course she leans against the wall near Josef. She trusts him and the monk. She thinks the priest is insane and she completely distrusts the two rogues and the necromancer and her dead automaton. 'Strange times make for strange companions,' she thinks to herself.

(ooc - How many quivers of arrows can characters realistically carry? We obviously want Gorth and Josef well stocked with ammo... Hmm... maybe we could put a bunch of quivers in a burlap sack and tie it to the automaton's waist so he can drag it and still fight...)

(probably about 100 arrows each).

Gorth figures out a way to keep the big bow without dropping it and obstructing him. He suggests "I think we are okay on ammo now, maybe we should keep trying to head for the docks as the storm covers our movements well enough"

Ara seems a bit taken by the moment, not saying much. Pondering the situation from where he is seated as he looks over what the others are up to!

Josef grudingly parts ways with his faithful old crossbow, swapping it out for the composite box and grabs himself 100 arrows, leaving the MW arrows for the rogue. Once loaded up, Josef moves to the door, looks out into the street and, if no zombies are about, proceeds to lead the group towards the docks.

Zati follows, sticking near Josef.

(ooc - Merl, if you missed it, in the discussion thread I asked if you could post character updates after combat/recovery sessions so we know where the party and NPCs are at for HP, spells, etc,. We need to know. We've no clue what Ara's HP are or how many spells he has left. Also, you'll be piloting Gorth for a while. Hear back from him and he's working on the road right now.)

Josef and the group, seeing no zombies, slowly being their trek through the rain, with Gorth doing his best to scout despite the low visibility. Working their way north around the market square seems safer, so thats how the party travels, and are able to make it to the west side of the market without incident, seeing no sign of life or unlife.

Ara looks worried and a bit lost. He holds his head, wrinkling his face out in the day light. But he continues on with the others even if he seem a bit on the bad side. He throws long glances around.
