Once upon a time I believed and even now, part of me still wants to believe. After all, little beats a good ghost story around a camp fire on a chill autumn night.

Still, if ghosts are real, I'd be inclined to feel sorry for most of them since, as a general rule, the non-malevolent ones remain in this world due to suffering a terrible tragedy.

Heh, send a thief to catch a thief :)

Well, good on him also contributing to catch the frauds on occasion. Too many people playing on the need to believe in something.

Personally, I don't believe int he classical "ghost" as a persons spirit trapped somewhere between life and death. Doesn't mean I don't believe there is more to the world than meets the eye. It is just too easy to get caught up in your own imagination and the self reinforcing bias of how we interpret that which doesn't make sense to us.

Real world comparison, climate change. World temperature is increasing. Provable fact. What causes it? That's where the shit storm sets in and people start something that can best be described as a religious war. Those who believes it's man made will go completely blind to any suggestion that it might be part of a natural episodic cycle and the other camp will be completely oblivious to the possible human contribution through greenhouse effects.

I *think* it's the same thing with the supernatural. Things happens, we don't have all the fact and based on personal inclination we fill in the gaps in our mind and arrive at conclusions.

As a teenager, one of the those things that really fascinated me was Kirlian photography. Do your own Googling if you are curious ;)

A really smart piece of work, Mandy. I think that Underwood may have a point regarding the source of hauntings. Funnily enough, there's a great spoof on Harry Price in the audio series 'The Scarifyers'.
