Ezine Issue 9 - The Mysteries of Fish

Post by the paperboy » Tue Jul 01, 2008 4:56 am

Brother Magnus has turned in some scholarly musings on the subject of Our Oceanly Father, Who Art in the Oceans...

Such brilliance, such vision... such a pretty shade of oceanic blue...

More from the Gospels of Fish. Hopefully, this will see the return of Al and Ralph... and let's hope not of the Angler... :look:

I love this piece. And I love the background Magnus made. It's gorgeous. Would have gone so well with Gorth's ill-fated cover art.

Mattias called it "goofy" but he just doesn't believe in Fish's Love.

Tis a shame. You'll never make the Aquarium unless you believe. :D

I love this piece, but then again, I might be biased

But one day, even Mattias shall know the Glory of Fish. Until then, he'll just have to ponder upon the Mysteries. :lordfish:

While he may not yet understand, at least he furthers Fish's work. Mattias was the one the coded the split colour for the text.

And nothing wrong with being biased towards your own work.

Can I just say that I think it's a most beautyful background for a story about Fish?

(I finally got a new computer assembled now, but it will take days to install the software... and I am off to New Zealand the next two weeks, so it won't happen anytime soon).

I've been pondering the relationship between Fish and The Angler. I think they are a symbiosis, each contributing to a never ending circle :yy:

If there was no Fish, there would be no Angler, for Fish is what gives him meaning and purpose. Yet, for all the atrocities of the Angler, it is through him that people get Fish. Without the Angler, Fish would be but a myth, a rumour of the ocean.

That's so beautiful. It brought a tear to my eye. Life, love, darkness, light, cause and effect, Abbott and Costello... The Angler and Fish...

And Lo, did Brother Magnus create a thing of beauty!

The beautiful blue tiles... tis a shame that Gorth did not create his masterpiece for the Glory of Fish but yea, I still looketh forward to it.

Almost there with the installation :)

I would like to have waited for a new gfx card, but what I have works. I am more or less back to scratch now, as in actually having a working system with the basics installed

O' Mister Gorth, yes! You must make this thing of beauty for Fish with your computer thing. It will make my eyes wet with fishy tears to look upon it!

Now, our dear friend Firstborn was inspired by our Fish worshiping (and reading that old chat Magnus and I had with Mattias the Non-believer) and made something I think quite lovely. She didn't feel it was forum worthy but I, as a High Priest of Fish, find it very worthy so... and I hope she doesn't kill me for this...
