Well, here's a breaking news bit for the day:

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/11/ ... tonio.html

Three US soldiers went on a shooting rampage on one of their own bases, in Texas, killing 12 and wounding 31.

It's a terrible tragedy. And one that honestly, I'm surprised didn't happen sooner considering the strain a lot of them are under. It'll be very revealing to see what the motive was behind this.

3 potentially fully armed soldiers couldn't do better than that? That makes the Columbine guys look like snipers.

Well, the reports are still not settled. Now they say it was a lone gunman, and an army psychiatrist at that.

Articles in Sweden say the man who went rampage was a muslim.

I told you Josan it prolly was a convert. He was not even that, he was a born muslim gone rampage. This just makes it even more hard for muslims.

If there ever be a new World War with a Holocaust it will be against the muslims :?

Hey Ls, did it ever occur to you that maybe he doesn't want the US meddling in South American countries' affairs anymore than they already have been for decades. Do you know why Chavez is pissed off?

Well, I know they mess around in South America but I dont see anyone else complain then this fucking South American commy.

And, can the survive without the Europeans and Americans help?

And it do look more like this guy want war then peace. He talks to much, soon he have the land occupied by someone instead of his little shitty nation America free.

He himself is prolly not even fucking native. As in Indian.

He want the State Americans out when he himself...might be a spanjard or portugese....If his indian! Sure! But the only country in the South America I know is of indian heritage is Bolivias so Chavez can shut the fudge up and leave South America himself cause he got nothing to do there.

Hehe, if you look a little bit deeper there are quite a few more South American countries voicing the same opinion.

Chavez was just the first to be appointed with such an opinion, and with his loud mouthed talk and joking metaphors is more interesting for media. He has friends on the continent though, for one in that Morales from Bolivia, but there are more in south and middle america and the caribbean.

Actually both are just heavy left wing socialist governments, trying to take the power from the yankees and other big corporation men and give it to the poorer population from their own soil. Though it must be said that Morales is doing this democratically, while Chavez is putting legislation in place to do it dictatorship-style. He also has made some rather wacky statements, like being willing to blockade our Antilles because we (dutch) would allow the american navy to take up residence there for an attack on Venezuela. As far as i can see though, it is just that, wacky statements, no harm.
(Where the dutch politics reacted somewhat angrily in both directions btw, we would never allow the americans to take up position there and told them explicitly, nor do we like Chavez saying we do, and told him explicitly.)

Can they survive with European and American help? I would think they can, theyve done so for quite some years, and the yankees have been putting both on many a blacklist already. What do we want to do there anyway? Have them make cheap shoes?

And on the chances that his country will be occupied if he continues his loudmouthed talk, i guess the only candidate to do so would be Colombia, and i think we're quite a bit better off with Venezuela than with a bigger Colombia.

Also, he's native. He's the president of the country he was born in. Not sure why you insist on calling them "Indians" either. You'll find East Indians in India, West Indians in the Carribean and North American Indians in the US and Canada. The term is rarely, if ever, applied to people in South America.

I am pretty sure his not -native- Is he a old Maya indian? Aztec or whatever was in that region?

No he isn't. We need to be watchful of these twisted sinister bastards. I as a European do not support him and his madness and had I been a state leader I would openly proclaim the man insane.

Hell, had I been a dictator I would invade him just cause. Had I been a Soviet leader? I would even then invade him cause his a trigger happy idiot that would have triggered the third world war, including the nukes which if he been a president in the 1960.

But hey, scuse me. I just do not fancy any left extremist, nor right wing extremist. But there is not many right wing nations left is there? least the lefties is more of a loudmouth then the righties or kadafi these days (his in a class of his own)

EDIT: And know what? His a hypocrite in the way he do this, dictatorishly.

What you, as a European support on another continent, in a sovereign nation, is utterly meaningless.

And the Mayan and Aztec civilisations died a long time ago. He's native whether you like it or not.

Hmm, there are quite many non-natives in South America if you only count Incas. (note that both Mayans and Aztecs are rather mexican civilizations)
The Chinese already started colonizing it as early as the 1420s, soon followed by the Portuguese, Dutch and other colonial empires, bringing boats full of Africans and (yes) Indians (mainly from the west Indies, nowaday Indonesia and Philipines) there because the attrition rate (!) was too high for european colonists.
(Hinduism is even a rather widespread religion in the northern countries of South America, or at least in the former dutch colony of Surinam)

Chances are, if Chavez is indeed an indian, we europeans put his ancestors there ;).

That is only a theory that they colonised South America!
