Um... channeling Marcus at the end, are you?
I was a Crown Ward. Group homes, foster homes, and homeless at 16. Most of my life has sucked pretty bad and those "formative years" are what lead me to being an anti-capitalist that doesn't trust "the system". People keep telling me I should be an advocate. Well, problem with that is I don't have a law degree and have spend large parts of my life struggling to keep a roof over my head and food in my stomach so I couldn't really fight for others when I was too busy fighting for my own survival.
The luckiest break in my life, best thing that ever happened, and it took until I was 41, was finally meeting a decent, caring human being... so I married her.

We can always make another thread for it

And nice on new job!
New jobs aren't always nice so much as necessary. Bills must be paid. That's what it boils down to. Here, we often use the term "survival job". That's something you take to pay your bills until you can get your career back on track or... haha... find your "dream jobs".
Well, nice on it anyway, rather a job than homeless I guess?
Seemingly my eye is not bleeding anymore but it was a priority one and they send me to the usual "normal" healthcare now for bunch of tests!

My doctor is incompetent, arrogant and completely and appallingly rude. The last appointment, my wife was in the room wife me. My doctor completely ignored her, not a word, not even a hello. My doctor became a doctor for status only and she hates the fact that I'm more intelligent than she is .
Still, we do need them, at least for referrals to better doctors and specialists.

So much for getting a citizenship sorted out online.... things went smoothly until the system didn't take into account a future dated application. I guess I have to either do it the old fashioned way on paper or wait until July.
Hmm... time to test how good my printer is I guess.
Backstory: Part of the requirements is, you can not have been away from Australia for more than 12 months the last 4 years. I came back to Australia 3 years ago... in July (having been gone for 24 months).

Man, GOG has a Disney sale going and the advertise Disney classics like Monkey Island.
Because obviously Monkey Island is a Disney classic. I know it's not their fault and technically Disney is right to advertise as such but holy hell, what bunch of baloney.
Requested: One Mark V ECM unit, 1000 km of Fullerene cable, one low-yield nuclear warhead.
Purpose: Surprise party for foreign dignitary.

The packaging may be new, but it's still the same old classic. Agreed though, rebranding feels odd sometimes.

I wonder if they are going to keep their brands strictly separated or plan on doing "crossovers" in the future. I can just see Mickey Mouse in Darth Vader gear, flying a black Tie-Fighter against a raging Donald Duck in an X-Wing

That would be something to see indeed! Nor would it suprise me! The good joke about Mickey being the evil is fitingly for a Vader custom.

Can't say I've watched anything from Disney since I was about 10 years old.

Not sure when I last saw a Disney movie either. I saw Aladdin the Broadway musical, but that was slightly different (watching it live)
Last cartoons I saw was Finding Nemo and The Incredibles (and I loved both!). I think that was before Pixar got bought out.
