My point being that he may actually now know any better. There are tons of people out there that never had a chance to play the true greats due to being too young, or they choose to remain ignorant (most often combined with "Uck, those graphics? I can't play that!") - usually the same crowd that considered the Star Wars prequel trilogy good movies.
I usually call them gaming neophytes and they get all pissy and recalcitrant and claim that I just want to insult and troll them, which is only half true. I do insult them on purpose, but the rest is pity, not trolling.
