I was born and raised in London, Ontario, where I still reside. Our home was filled with creativity. From the hand-made clothes my mother made, to the musical instruments played, creative expression was encouraged. I was most content being by myself with a fresh piece of paper and my crayons.

As I became older and took on the responsibility of my own household I gave up creating my art. Then after years of pushing myself, my life changed. I would experience panic, anxiety, and deep feelings of sorrow and I could not reason why. Soon after the feelings came on I was placed in the hospital. I was diagnosed with severe depression and PTSD.

(Left - Tropical Beauty) Tropical Beauty is one my first "real" efforts painting in a realistic fashion. I have had the privilege to work with Lillianna Gomez, and Angela Fisher, both being exceptional local painters. I like painting flowers because of the dimension and depth captured within the petals. Flowers are great practise.
