taken by surprise, but this time he managed to speak. "Can I help you with something?"

She leaned forward a little longer. "Oh yes, there is something only you can help me with." She lowered her voice into a whisper and continued. "I want you, I want you bad and I have since the first day I saw you. Meet me in my office once everyone has left and I'll give you your deepest fantasy."

Then she turned around and walked slowly out of his office, leaving a very shocked John Walker in his office.

It took almost a minute before he remembered to breathe again and then he started to blush. To say that Walker had never fantasized about Michelle would be a lie, but he was one of those men who had never admitted it to anyone and who hadn't fantasized about her very much. He knew someone like him would never get someone like her so there really hadn't been any point to it, but now his mind started making up for it. The following ten minutes he was occupied with very dirty fantasies.

Once he calmed down a little though

he realized something. He was going to meet Rachel after work and now he was scheduled to do unspeakable things with Michelle as well and there was no way he was going to be able to do both. There just wasn't enough time. He realized that both chances were of the non-returning variety and he just didn't know what to do.

He'd never seen himself as someone who needed company, or sex for that matter, but something deep inside of him told him he'd been missing out and maybe it was time to correct that. He knew that if he went down to Rachel, it would be something that could change his life forever, while if he went to Michelle he would have a once in a lifetime experience. Although one that wouldn't affect him much afterwards, at least not according to his own logical mind.

He also realized that if he stood Rachel up she would probably be pretty sad, but he wasn't sure he was ready to make that kind of commitment. It's pretty funny when you think of it, a man like Walker being afraid of commitments. After all he was heavily committed to everything else he did in his life, but

there was something here that scared him.

He sat in his office until 17.10 (the overtime, remember?) weighing the two alternatives against each other in his head, then he stood up, got his coat and went down to meet Rachel, leaving Michelle alone (and very frustrated) in her office.

"I don't get it. I just don't get it," Gazzt said. "What is it with this love thing anyway?"

"I don't know, but I must say it's very interesting. We've seen this before; humans can do the most unexpected actions when they're under the spell they call love. It's most fascinating." Stylox was almost as bewildered as his partner was.

"Yeah, but I was so certain he'd go with the quick and easy solution. You know the hot and young one that'd only last a night and then it'd all be over. But he did the exact opposite; he chose the option that could potentially change his life forever."

"Aye, but maybe it's not in the human nature to be resistant to change?

Walker doesn't like making decisions, but maybe it is the decisions he is trying to avoid, not the change that can come out of them?" Stylox analyzed. "This is of course only speculations on my side, but it is very interesting. We must focus our next experiment more on the love issue; there are a lot of things we don't know about that yet."

"You're right," Gazzt said, "but how about we turn up the heat on this one before we start talking about the next?"
