Is December, 2012 the end?

Yes
No
Bah! Bloody fringies!

Suspended Disbelief

Lyrical selections from the 2000s

Over Time

I think I've been here before,
nothing changes,
nothing stays the same.
I'm looking for patterns
while moving in circles
and I don't know the rules of this game.

It's kind of funny
how such a short time over time
can feel so long.
Each crystalline moment
frozen in my mind,
in my heart melts into one.

My friends try to tell me,
now you're gone, just how lucky I am
and they don't understand why
for you I'd do it all again.

You see when I see you
I'm stopped in my tracks,
you still take my breath away.
In that speechless silence
my heart cries for the words
my soul longs to say.

And sometimes at night
I'll lie on that old park bench
I came to think of as ours
and looking up
I'll think to myself I couldn't be lonelier
lost amongst the stars.

Is it too late to say I'm sorry
if I ever caused you pain?
It's only now I see the sacrifices
and just how much you gave.

Oh how I wish
I could forget how it felt
to kiss you in the rain
and oh how I wish
I'd never told you
I'd die to be in your arms again.

So I just want to tell you
that now I'm doing fine
except for those moments
when some vision of you comes to mind.

rock, Key of A
Vox, electric lead and rhythm (capoed) bass, piano, cello, drums

Of the six songs I mentioned forcing out, this was one that I actually felt was good. The lyrics are melodramatic, part real, part fiction but the music makes it a good, solid song.
