Re: Random news Roundup

I used to read the news, local, national and international, several times a day. I used to worry about the world and humanity and stressed over what I'd read. Now, I just check the BBC periodically, skimming the headlines as the Beeb is my homepage on my mobile, but I don't actively read the news an...

Re: Random events of the day

I see little value in anything with religious connotations. It speaks to nothing more than ignorance and intellectual deficiencies in my view. Are we overpopulated and taxing the planet's resources? Hell, yes, we are. And part of the problem is religion and what you call culture. Overpopulation is ...

Re: I need gaming suggestions...

I enjoyed the first Borderlands game back on the old PS3. Good times gaming with some friends, three TVs and PS3s in the same room... a haze of... ;) Ultimately though I don't have time for more than a few minutes of mobile gaming. I work full time and when I'm not working at work I'm working on mus...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

Agreed on the Empire Strikes back. Hell, Harry S. Plinkett agrees with that. ;) Oh, watched Black Summer, the Z Nation prequel. They dropped the humour and tried to go gritty. Sadly, they shouldn't have. Damn, dude. The time I spent watching those eight craptastic episodes with, as one reviewer note...

Re: Random events of the day

Well, as an intelligent individual I also can't help but see churches and temples and such as part pretty architecture and part monument to human ignorance. Morality and ethics exist without religion and it saddens me than in the 21st century people still think fairy tales are truths. Again, I'd rat...

Re: Random events of the day

While part of me says "yes, it's terrible, the history, the architecture" the other part of me looks all the hundreds of millions of dollars pledged from around the world to rebuild it and just thinks about all the homeless and hungry that could be helped.

Re: Random rant of the day

Well, at least you've got hobbies. And PnP gaming requires social interaction. So you're not a hermit. :)

Re: Random events of the day

Performed my first ever bridge swap (replacement) on one of my guitars yesterday. I've been playing for just over 30 years but used to think adjustments and setups were some kind of wizardly magic. It's only been in the last year or so I've started doing my own work and... it's not that hard. Some t...

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

Ha! Yes. The late 70's and early 80's, when we thought Lucas was brilliant. And then we realised he wasn't. He exposed himself. :)

Re: Random rant of the day

Very true. And hobbies you're passionate about help a great deal. Music kept me alive. Being able to write songs also kept me sane.

Do you have any hobbies?

Re: The latest movie/tv show you've seen

Never liked Star Wars, never will. I have certain fondness for the original trilogy, at least the little child I was when I saw it does but that's it. I'd honestly rather watch Plan 9 From Outer Space than any Star Wars movie.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Marcus. You're a good guy that doesn't deserve all the issues you deal with. I really hope it's nothing serious.
