Sociopath

Post by AngryKidJoe » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:35 am

**Not really creative writing, but I was sitting around today and decided to vent on paper (then on facebook) about how I've been feeling for quite a while now. Not meant to be anything other than a vent.

Over all I dislike the human race. I despise many aspects of our current cultures. I realize that I contribute to some of the very same aspects that I've grown to hate. Yet, I still find myself swinging the pendulum of choice between abandoning it all or pushing forward to hopefully catalyze something progressive. To move humankind out of racism and prejudice, removed from gluttony.

Some days I buy the people behind me their coffee, compliment a sad looking stranger or help out a friend with financial woes.

Other days I'd love to run a blade across a throat and enjoy the aroma of the fresh bloodletting of a vile being; a child molesting priest preaching of exalted hierarchy through bigotry for example.

I want the world to be more open minded and accepting. Yet, I cannot accept how the societies of this planet operate. In theory, Democracy, Republic, Socialist and Communist governments help the people. Humans fudge the righteousness out of everything. There are few good people that have the drive, will or power to do anything about it.

I meet these people regularly. I enjoy their company. But what good are our intentions when matched up against corrupt governments, trillion dollar militaries and nuclear weapons?

Sometimes I feel I should destroy this world, burn it to the crust of the earth we betray, before "they" do out of some false media hyped justification.

I love and hate people the same. There is nothing pure in this world the human species, as a whole, would do.

What's in a name? Two Josephs today having thoughts about the problems our collectively idiotic species is inflicting on the world. I was telling a friend that I thought it was high time for a revolution in Western Society. The Occupy movement was a joke, with no direction or leadership. I was commenting that maybe it's time for class warfare, the poor and working class rising up and overthrowing the ruling class and the government.

Of course the problem is what do you replace it with, power corrupting and all that.

I see all of these problems but I don't have an effective solution or a medium or method to get to an effective solution.

Exactly. It's an impossible problem to fix on a scale that would matter. We can only fix things in our little corners of the world, mainly our own lives, possibly influencing friends.

But on a wider scale... the people with the power and money to actually affect a change on a scale that matters... they just don't give a damn. The problems only serve their corrupt unethical agendas and further pad their pocketbooks.

Some friends and acquaintences are currently providing good evidence that, for the lack of a better term, the pay it forward attitude has a positive domino effect on society. Unfortunate it rarely sees the light of day I politics. It gets stuffed in a pine box and buried to suffocate on it's own exhaust in a shallow grave.

i don't believe in karma and pay it forward. good people get shit on every day while crooks in the government never ever ever suffer for everything they do against the people. i guess maybe it works with close friends but people are seriously screwed up
