Hmm. 20 votes in 25 days. Not bad. But then again, not bad is just another way of saying not good. We used to get hundreds.

Vote from home! Vote from school! Vote from work! Rig the election dammit! Spread the word. Get your girlfriends and boyfriends and cats and dogs and parrots to vote! When you're helping grandmother remove all the senior cybersex spyware from her computer, test her browser by going to the survey and getting granny to VOTE!

Hm... how can there be 21 votes when the sum of votes from all of the categories is only 17? Blanks? How?

We're just over 3 weeks from the next issue of the ezine and that's always the time we change the poll.

Drag that the polls don't do as well as they used to back when we did gaming interviews. And drag that the people who visit the forums don't always visit the site and people who visit the site don't always visit the forums and people who visit the zine often visit neither.

Tell your friends to vote! Tell your aunts and uncles and grandmothers dammit!

The polls are spammy, fun and often filled with obscure, absurd and TRUE facts.

And the old survey is still up. I never thought up a new one when we did the spring issue and I've been changing them with each issue.

Someone else should come up with some poll ideas from time to time. I miss Ewen's X vs Y polls.

Some great spammer here should carry on in that vein.

Fight illiteracy!

Which one is the coolest vowel... 'A' or 'E'?

Ooh, that's a tough one considering that the danish language is practically one big vowel like aæuiaå, which means something like "I'm standing in the lake".

So, is that the new poll then? Should we include all vowels or just give the two choices?

Equal rights for all vowels, even the un-cool ones :P

What about the exceptions? The old bit they teach in school: "A, E, I, O, U and sometimes Y and W".

I'm hard pressed to think of any exceptions for W unless we're talking old Gaelic. Where are John Arkham and Oswin when we need them???

Is that literal or phonetical vowels? Leaves a lot of room for every character except X, Z and W phonetically speaking.

I'm not sure. Kindergarten was a long long time ago. At least a couple months.

The final tally is in for the question:

True or False - The Mexican Hat Dance is the official dance of Mexico.

True 32%
False 24%
Para bailar la bamba! 43%

And...

32% got the correct answer. 43% voted for the only line the knew from La Bamba.

So much for cultural understanding.

For our next exciting survey... thanks for the idea Gorth. :D

Didn't even track the last poll: Which vowel is the most exciting? but... "I" clearly won.

And the new survey is up... just in time for the New Year (early actually but someone around here has to have something in before a deadline) so...

What will 2009 bring?
