Some kind words...

Post by Joseph » Sun Jun 20, 2010 4:15 pm

I very rarely check the "admin" and "editor" email accounts for Winterwind. This morning I did and was very pleasantly surprised at an email I'd received. Since it was essentially a "letter to the editor", I'd like to share it.
Hi,

I just wanted to say thank you for your writings. I'm referring to not only the
ezine but also your very open posts about your private life in the forum. They were
just what I needed to read to help me thru some personal things that had been
bothering me for ages. I know that sounds cryptic as hell, but just take my word
for it. I hope you never stop yourself from writing out of concern that it may be
more pointless self-involved navel gazing on the Web. It's not. Keep going. You
never know when someone may find illumination in your words, even if your goal had
only been to vent or share your own pain.

Anyways, thanks again.

PS - The Dr.Who comics are pretty cool! Do you make the sets just for the photo shoots?
I've always been an open and honest person and at the same time, I've often felt quite foolish for some of the more personal thoughts and feelings I've shared in my writing on the site. However, I found this email quite touching and it's made me feel a bit less self-conscious about some of my past writings.

It's also made me feel a bit less childish in doing the webcomics. I really need to get ramped up for shooting those stories I previewed in the winter edition of the ezine.

Aww... Joseph gets fan mails!

Seriously though, people deal with life in different ways. Some express themselves through writing, some through song, some through kicking puppies. It's all part of being human, so what is there not to like about it? :)

I was hoping more people, well, particularly our apathetic team, would at least comment on this.

You da man Gorth. The rest of you... well, I love dogs but I'm going to go on a kitty kicking spree in your names! And then write about it and sing about it.

:look:

Joseph gets fanmail for his Dr. Who because he was good at it.
I do bugger-all, but that's OK;
I sleep all night, and I read all day!
